January
Tue 12, 1830-2100. Leicester Council of Faiths hosted a focus group session involving members of the full Council of Faiths and invited guests (mainly representatives of the Muslim Burial Council for Leicestershire) at the Cathedral Centre, for a presentation and discussion on Leicester City Council's Bereavement Services.
Wed 27, 1930-2130. Leicester Council of Faiths (in association with Leicester City Council, the Schools Development and Support Agency and the Stanley Burton Centre for Holocaust Studies) hosted the city's commemoration of Holocaust Memorial Day at the University of Leicester, Fraser Noble Hall, London Road.

Thu 4, 1230-1330. Leicester Council of Faiths hosted a prayer meeting for surviviors of the earthquake in Haiti in Town Hall Square.
Mon 22 Feb. Visit of Mrs Suzanne Eberstein, Member of the Sveriges Riksdag - the Swedish Parliament. Among the many posts and portfolios she holds, she is Deputy Chair of the Committee on European Union Affairs and a Judge in the Administrative Court of Appeal. Accompanying Mrs Eberstein was her Political Adviser, Margareta Fallman-Strandberg. In the afternoon, the visitors met Chair of Leicester Council of Faiths, Cllr Manjula Sood, Muslim representative Hashim Duale, Co-ordinator Ajay Aggarwal and Equality and Diversity Officer George M Ballentyne at the Welcome Centre. Later in the day, more members of the Council of Faiths came to the Welcome Centre to meet our visitors, then went on for a meal together at Mirch Masala in Market Street.

Mon 15, 1100-1500. Leicester Council of Faiths took part in the first of two Diversity Fairs at Leicester College, during its Respect Week. Toady's event was t the college's Freemen's Park campus.
Wed 17, 1230-1530. Second of Leicester College's Diversity Fairs, this time at its Abbey Park campus.
